Allie Greene, somatic movement educator, absolutely adores movement. She discusses her journey towards yoga and holistic fitness. As the owner of Equilibrium Pittsburgh Movement Studio and Soma Movement LLC, She helps people clarify what they feel in their bodies. Always starting clients from the ground, she believes in being barefoot as much as you can! Allie brings people back into awareness with their bodies and gives them self agency so that they can make good movement choices for themselves. Allie Greene and her interviewer, Dr. Elisa Haransky Beck, talk of the importance of listening to your body and being present in your body. Allie Greene also includes a guided somatic awareness activity, in which the audience has the opportunity to truly grasp the importance of touch.

Allie Greene, based in Pittsburgh, PA, finished her BS in Sociology and Performing Arts from La Roche College in 2000. Originally working with Ballet and Pilates, Allie became a certified pilates instructor for MS and neurological disorders in 2014. Drawn towards yoga, she is now the owner of Equilibrium Pittsburgh Movement Studio and Soma Movement LLC. She is also a 500 hour registered yoga therapist at EmbodiYoga.
